Description:
Plaid brooches are the traditional method of fastening the plaid, cloak or shawl at the shoulder.
Based on the targe or target which was the shield used by clansmen in battle: usually of wood and leather, elaborately tooled and ornamented.
A dress brooch in simulated cairngorm, amethyst, blue, green, red or black stone.
Size is about 70 mm (2.75”) in diameter.
Palladium plated pewter to provide a hard wearing finish which doesn’t readily scratch or tarnish.
